Irina Rakitina, Esq.

My name is Irina Rakitina, and I am a licensed immigration attorney in the United States. I earned my Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law in Florida.

My journey in the U.S. began over a decade ago in Seattle, Washington. At the time, I didn’t plan on staying long—my family remained abroad, and I thought my path would lead me elsewhere. But life had different plans. I completed my education here, from high school in Seattle to law school in Miami.

Immigration law became a part of my life early on. I spent years navigating visa renewals and searching for legal ways to stay in the country. A turning point came when I volunteered at immigration centers, assisting individuals who couldn’t afford legal representation. Hearing their stories and seeing how even small acts of guidance could make a difference sparked my interest in immigration law. It was then I realized that my experiences could help others on their journeys.

Through my studies and professional work, my passion for immigration law grew stronger. I understand the sacrifices immigrants make to start over in a new country—the uncertainty, the isolation, and the constant need to rebuild. I’ve been in that position, and I know the value of having someone who understands the system and can provide the right advice at the right time.

Now, I dedicate my career to being that guide for others. I find immense joy in helping people secure their legal status in the U.S.. It’s the support I once longed for, and I am proud to offer it to others.
